Committee review 2002-2003
Since December 2002 ANLTC has reviewed a number of aspects of its organisation
and activities. As a consequence, some changes are already in place and actions
planned.

Review of
meetings organisation procedures, ensuring optimal consistency for events hosted
at each institution

Documented
financial recording procedures

Improved
evaluation procedures, including a review of the standard evaluation form,
maintenance of a database of event summaries and evaluation of each annual
programme as a whole

Production of
an annual report, the first of which will cover 2003 and should appear early in
2004
·
Assessment of
the need for, and coverage of, a user survey (last survey conducted in 1999)
·
Development of
the ANLTC Web site, including re-design, reorganisation and enhanced, regularly
updated, content
·
Establishment
of an intranet as a resource bank and communication tool within the Committee
·
Active
monitoring of, and reporting on, CPD activities and best practice; a CPD section
is planned for the Web site.
·
Active liaison
with a number of groups, including LAI, SCONUL, CILIP, ARL
·
Regular
communication of activities via staff newsletters, LIR-L, annual report etc
·
Monitoring
sources of funding for research, publicising via ANLTC Web site; possible ANLTC
course on research skills

Possible
organisation of a conference in 2004 on theme of Core Skills
·
Ongoing
communication with CONUL, notably in terms of planned events:
o
Programme 2004:
initial planning meeting scheduled for Wednesday 18 June (ANLTC would like to
invite a CONUL representative to attend)
